Basic Sustainability Policy

The K.R.S. Corporation Group is guided by its corporate philosophy, “We link you and food with our smiles. We are the corporate group always being trusted.” We are committed to addressing environmental and social challenges as a leading food logistics company that forms a part of the social infrastructure. Together with its stakeholders, the Group contributes to the “realization of a sustainable society” where people can continue to live with smiles on their faces. Materiality (Key Issue)

Our Group has identified six matters of materiality (key issues) that should be addressed on priority through our business activities to contribute to the achievement of a sustainable society.

Promotion System

The “Sustainability Promotion Committee” was established to strengthen the system for promoting sustainability management. This Committee is chaired by the President and CEO, and a system for the Board of Directors to oversee the implementation of the committee’s activities has been established. The Sustainability Promotion Committee is responsible for formulating and implementing the Group’s sustainability strategy and overseeing the promotion of sustainability management throughout the Group.

Materiality Identification Process

STEP1Identification of Issues
Based on international guidelines (GRI, ISO26000, etc.) and requests from business partners, a total of 89 items were identified and extracted for materiality (important issues).
STEP2Importance Assessment
A total of 89 materiality candidates were quantitatively evaluated along two axes: “Importance to stakeholders” and “Importance to the company”, where materiality issues were provisionally identified as priorities to be addressed

Discussions were held with two external experts regarding the provisionally identified materiality issues, and the importance evaluation was reviewed

The Board of Directors approved the six materiality issues identified through the above process
