Sustainability

Respect for Human Rights and Diversity

We understand and respect the importance of human rights, based on the principle of “Respect for human rights”, which is also stated in the Code of Ethics, “The KRS Spirit” of the Group. In line with the principle of valuing “each person”, “each task”, and “everyone’s thoughts”, we prioritize each employee’s work comfort and well-being, respect their individuality, abilities, actions and ideas, and, with a collective mindset, aim to be a company characterized by the best teamwork and the brightest smiles.

Establishment of a System for Business and Human Rights

Internal reporting system

As a reporting system for instances where group employees discover actions that violate laws, regulations, or articles of incorporation, we have established a compliance group line with an external law firm as the contact point, based on the Whistleblower Protection Act. The chairperson of the Compliance Group Line Committee is the Director in charge of management, and the whistleblowing system has been established in accordance with the Whistleblowing System Management Regulations (Compliance Group Line Management Regulations).
As a result of the investigation, if any violations are confirmed, necessary personnel measures are recommended to the representative director through the rewards and penalties committee, promoting self-regulation within the company.
We will continue to raise awareness of the internal reporting hotline among employees, led by the Director in charge of management.

Promoting Diversity

Active engagement of older employees

We are installing equipment and establishing rules to ensure safe and secure operations, even for older employees.

K. Tis Corporation, which serves as the Group’s main transportation arm, is advancing the installation of vehicle safety equipment such as the “Lane Departure Warning System”, “Collision Mitigation Braking System”, and “Pedal Misapplication and Sudden Unintended Acceleration Prevention System”. Additionally, based on the results of the driving suitability assessment administered to employees at the age of 65, they may be reassigned to departments where driving is not required.
There have been no major accidents attributed to “age-related” causes in our operations so far.

K.LP Corporation, which handles warehouse cargo handling functions, has increased the spacing between pallets used during sorting to prevent fall accidents from stepping off the pallet.

Internship opportunities for international students

Starting in June 2024, K.LP Corporation, which handles our cargo handling functions, partnered with a university in Indonesia to start internships in Japan for Indonesian students majoring in logistics.
Over one year, in addition to classroom training, the interns will perform on-site work based on the Indonesian language work manuals prepared for this initiative, enabling them to learn about Japan’s cold chain logistics.
We will provide workplace experience in Japan and strive to create an environment that is more conducive to foreign workers, working diligently to contribute to increasing the employment of foreign workers in the future.
